SEX TAPE, SIN CITY and NEIGHBORS
FRIDAY MADNESS NO.6
Hi everyone and welcome to another edition of FRIDAY MADNESS! Today I have actually some great news coming from Hollywood and trailers for highly anticipated movies! Before we begin I must confess that I’m honored for reaching more than 100 followers and I want to thank you all for supporting my work. You are truly the best followers in the world! The first topic of this week’s FRIDAY MADNESS is the up-coming comedy starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz.
So Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz are a couple and they decide to record themselves having sex. After doing it, Cameron’s character asks her boyfriend if he could erase the video but instead of doing it, he accidently puts the file into the cloud and all of their friends were able to enjoy the sex tape. I know that the trailer looks a bit predictable but it also looks funny and I will give it a shot since Cameron and Jason have quite a talent for comedy movies.
And if you’re a bit tired of comedies I have a great pick for you which is actually the sequel for one of the most amazing comic book adaptations ever made.
SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR
9 Years after the release of the adaptation of Frank Miller’s series of neo-noir comics entitled “Sin City”, Robert Rodriguez takes again the lead and directs another 4 stories that are part of Miller’s alternative and violent universe. These 4 stories are combined into one movie, just like the first “Sin City” and feature several already known characters like Hartigan and Nancy (interpreted by Bruce Willis and Jessica Alba). Mickey Rourke (Marv), Rosario Dawson (Gail), Josh Brolin (Dwight), Jamie King (Goldie) and Jamie Chung as deadly little Miho are also back and it’s known that “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” will feature the following stories:
- “A Dame to Kill For” with Dwight McCarthy and Ava Lord (interpreted by Eva Green);
- “Just Another Saturday Night” with Marv, Hartigan and Nancy (all characters that appeared in the first movie);
- “The Long Bad Night”: an original story with Johnny (interpreted by the new guy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt)
- “The Fat Loss”: another original story with Hartigan and Nancy.
Although the trailer doesn’t look that impressive since the surprise factor was ruined by the first movie, I’ve waited several years for the official announcement of this sequel since I enjoyed a lot the first movie (feel free to check out my review for “Sin City” by clicking here) and my expectations are still high. “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” is one of this year’s most anticipated movies and is definitely one movie I won’t miss in the theaters!
One funny fact about this week is that the first reviews of “Neighbors” are out and apparently it looks really promising. The movie currently holds a 100% score in the tomatometer (although there are only 11 reviews counted). “Neighbors” is the story of a young couple suffering from arrested development that is forced to live next to a fraternity house. The movie stars Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne and I have to tell you that I’m really interested in watching this as soon as it’s released since the trailer is really funny!
Without anything else to say I’ll leave you with the first 5 minutes of “How to Train Your Dragon 2”. This Sunday, come by to “Panda’s Choice” to check out my review for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” in which I’ll say whether is worth it to watch it in IMAX or not and I’ll also post this week’s edition of MUST about the unforgettable “Ghostbusters” since the previous edition was about Wes Anderson’s “The Royal Tenenbaums”!
