TOP 10 2014

2014 was without any doubt a great year for movies! From January to December amazing movies were released worldwide and there was always something great to talk about! I never thought about giving so many great ratings in just one year but again, I wasn’t expecting so many amazing movies. Picking the best films among so many choices was definetely not an easy task and unfortunatley, I had to leave great movies behind.

NOTES

Since there were some movies from 2013 that were only released in 2014 here in Portugal here it is a version of the Top 10 with these movies included:

TOP 10 EXCELL

Some movies like Foxcatcher, Whiplash and Birdman will only be released in the next two months here in Portugal, so they will only be part of next year’s TOP.

  1. Dude, I ordered the nicest limited edition Blu-ray of Boyhood…can’t freaking wait for it to come. Anyways, bragging aside, I like this list because it is different than most…

    Snowpiercer, Locke, and Begin Again are unique entries!

    • Haha, it’s well worth to watch, trust me… And thanks for the comment 🙂 2014 was an amazing year for independent movies and I think that my list reveals that… “Begin Again” was catchy from the beggining to end and I still can’t stop listen to Knightley and Levine’s amazing voices while “Snowpiercer” was like the cherry on top of Chris Evans’ great year… Both these movies surprised me a lot… And “Locke”… Well let’s just say that Tom Hardy’s performance is terrific. Still waiting to see Whiplash and Birdman…

  2. Fico orgulhosa por ter visto a maior parte dos filmes da tua lista, e por ter outros em “fila de espera” para ver. O único que não me disse absolutamente nada foi o Lego Movie. Sei que muitos falavam bem, mas não sei se foi por estar cansada naquele determinado dia, mas só vi uns 30 minutos do filme e cansei-me…

    • Muito obrigado pelo comentário. Ainda me faltaram uns quantos bons títulos para ver do ano passado mas o tempo não chega para tudo. O Lego Movie vi-o a primeira vez na versão dobrada, por ser a única em exibição e achei muito interessante aquela mistura de referências culturais com uma história que, estando longe de ser perfeita, não deixa de ser engraçada tanto para míudos como para graúdos. Talvez por querer incluir um filme de animação na lista, o filme acabou por ir parar aí. Uma coisa é certa, tive uns quantos filmes que são muito bons e tive de os deixar de fora mas que não posso deixar de os recomendar a amigos e não só como o “The Guest” que foi apresentado no MOTELx e fez grande parte das minhas delícias… Mas pronto, mais uma vez obrigado e até breve!
