Trailer: Mockingjay Part I

Yesterday, at last Lionsgate released online the anticipated teaser trailer for “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I” after months of releasing Capitol propaganda throughout the web which was a great marketing strategy. In this new teaser trailer we watch a particularly interesting moment of the book in which Katniss travels alongside with a group of people from district 13 to realize the current situation at the hospital we see during the video.

While Coin (Julianne Moore) is saying to Plutarch (Philip Seymour Hoffman) that she believes that Katniss is incapable of handling the pressure of being the symbol of revolution they wanted her to be, Katniss watches the pain that several individuals are suffering in that hospital and the way they praise her as the Mockingjay. Although Katniss is still a bit skeptic regarding the revolution plan, she starts realizing that she is an important symbol of hope for those who suffered from the Capitol.

In one minute therefore we watch a clear sign that the revolution is still on after the release of several messages from the capitol. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I” will be released this November and for Lionsgate it’s already one of the studios major triumphs. Directed by Francis Lawarence, the same man behind “Catching Fire”, with this new teaser trailer, “Mockingjay” seems now closer and the expectations will increase for sure. How long will we have to wait for a new trailer? That is a difficult question to answer but since I read the book I can say that everything I saw at this moment seemed trustful to Suzanne Collins’ novel.
