I tried to avoid watching the trailer of “Her” so that I could have my first touch with the characters and with the story, while watching the movie and I really think I’ve made the right call on this one. “Her” was different from everything I’ve seen before and it was by far, really amusing to watch. It’s unconventional plot was at the beginning, a bit hard for me to catch but after a few minutes I was right on track and I was enjoying every single bit of this sci-fi romance mixed with a bit of comedy.
Currently, I am still not quite sure about what I enjoyed the most about “Her”. This love story between a man named Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix) and a “program” named Samantha (Scarlett Johansson) it’s sweet most of the times and it’s able to bring some serious topics to the table, like the dependence on technology and the artificial intelligence development.
But it’s not just this great and unconventional story that makes “Her” a good movie. The acting skills of Joaquin Phoenix are really good and his performance gave a more interesting touch to the film, because “Her” it’s also about feelings and about what does life really stands for. It’s about the difficulties of real relationships and about the need that we all have to fight for our happiness.
“Her” it’s a moving romance that with a little bit of comedy and a lot of sci-fi manages to enter your head, giving a quite simple lesson about enjoying every single moment and to be proud of ourselves because life it’s too short and there is no time to waste.
