Review: Whatever did you think about the trailer of “Filth” after you seen it, I can assure you that the best it is yet to come. “Filth” was awkward, innovative, really funny, surprising and one cool ride. After watching the trailer, my expectations were really high and I was really excited to see this movie.
I was really far from being disappointed. “Filth” nailed it in every single way. This irreverent and funny story about a bipolar junkie cop that manipulates everyone he knows just to get his promotion it’s addicting and will give you almost 100 minutes of guaranteed fun. The performances were really great and I must confess that James McAvoy did a terrific job playing Bruce Robertson.
There aren’t normal things in the world of “Filth”. To get his promotion Bruce will do almost everything, stealing his colleagues’ wives and manipulating their lives. “Filth” it’s one of those cases in which we feel attracted to the “bad guy”. Among sex and drugs, Bruce will have to fight everyone to get his promotion, including himself.
In “Filth” you will watch a lot of violence, swearing and sex, while you are invited to enter the mind of a sick cop that just wants his promotion. It’s not adequate for everyone but I can assure that if you enjoyed the trailer as much as I did, “Filth” will definitely make you laugh.
